Ricostruita la collezione giovanile di erbe secche
The young Filippo de Pisis collected a herbarium of dried plants, later donated to the Botanical Museum of Padua where it was broken up. Locating and reuniting the works took five years. The authors of this research highlight de Pisis’s tendency to ‘observe’ the vegetable kingdom, they then analyse the botanical and landscape profile of the herbal collection. Images and botanical tables enrich the essay, proving the scientific quality of the collection examined.

Scholars from very different backgrounds, places and academic fields have dealt again with the theme of Montale’s landscape. The discussion provided a space for analysis and exchange of ideas with no predetermined line of thinking or underlying thesis. Using landscape as a starting point, everybody spoke freely on his Montale, sometimes treating very different topics. Montale’s landscape was explored as a spiritual place, a comprehensive symbol of a unique and rich inner world.

Segatori's PhD thesis, the base of this work, was awarded the recently established prize “Fondazione Ippolito e Stanislao Nievo 2011”.

The letters explain the development of Fuoco grande (written by four hands) and Dialoghi con Leucò, and give insight into their writing and publishing process. Hence the importance and unique value of these letters, which are either completely unpublished (Garufi) or only partially published, with omissions (Pavese).
