L’innumerevole produzione letteraria (3818 titoli di 1319 autori) testimonia la molteplicità degli intenti che hanno coinvolto un panorama di autori tanto eterogeneo da comprendere tutti gli ambiti socio-culturali italiani.
Research has been carried out exclusively in an apiarian environment by consulting works and bibliographies relating to this specific field and through an investigation of the subjects pertaining to entries concerning the bee and its world in some Italian libraries. The numerous literary productions (3818 titles by 1319 authors) and the variety of form witness the multiplicity of intent that has brought together a wide heterogenous range of authors covering all Italian social-cultural levels.

Gli autografi che qui si raccolgono, spersi in diversi fondi, archivi e biblioteche d’Italia, anticipano, fanno parte o rappresentano un epilogo ai «Canti Orfici», il solo libro scritto dal poeta, edito nel 1914. I documenti sono stati rigorosamente ordinati, trascritti e riprodotti fotograficamente, per riscattarli da una sorte che «è stata ed è infelice come quella dell’autore», e avviare quel discorso completo tanto sollecitato dalla critica sull’opera del poeta vagabondo, visionario e orfico.
The autographs collected here, dispersed in various Italian funds, archives and libraries anticipate, are part of and represent an epilogue to «Canti Orfici», the only book that the poet wrote, published in 1914. The documents have been rigorously put into order, transcribed and photographically reproduced to save them from a destiny that «is and has been inappropriate like that of the author» and to set forth discussions, often solicited by critics, on the work of the vagabond, visionary and orphic poet.

The way in which production of public buildings developed in major Italian cities is the subject of this research. Production was estimated as regards a functionally homogeneous sample of centres representing the principal cities (Torino, Milano, Venezia, Genova, Mantova, Modena, Parma, Firenze, Roma, Napoli and Palermo); in addition, the chief towns of the Legazioni pontificie of Bologna and Ferrara and several centres like the Terraferma Veneta and the Calabria Ultra.

The catalogue describes 302 16th century editions of the Bible in a variety of ancient languages amongst which Greek, Hebrew, Syriac, etc., with the transcription in original characters of the frontispiece. It also contains numerous editions in vulgar tongue providing documentary evidence of almost all the editions in the Italian language.

For the first time these capitals have been examined as significant works of art in their own right and not just as an indication of the chronology of single buildings. The various schemes according to which decoration spreads over the capital and the plant motifs used are also illustrated; the origin and development of each one is reconstructed, the nomenclature is stated and, when possible, the opinion of the contemporaries is recovered.
